The Greenberg and other books show the Blatz car as being kit MR-6 ... Ed Rose has the kits with the boxes and they have clear labels showing the Blatz 23104 kit as Kit MR-5 ... He also has kit MR-6, which is clearly marked "Black Hawk Hams" ... Ed has a second MR-5 kit with a blatz car that has a road number of URTX 23117 .... We have the Pabst 91467 all wood WWII car, but unfortunately, do not have the box to confirm its origins.
---
Main Line Railway was a Varney subsidiary that marketed economy kits during WWII.
They were the same as the Varney kits except they lack metal parts.
( Thanks Bill )
We believe, but cannot confirm for sure that the Pabst & Schlitz cars were produced.
Varney is one of the oldest producers of HO equipment. They are no longer in business
